Power2Motivate's achievement of the ISO 9001:2015 reflects its commitment to world-class quality, unwavering customer focus and continual improvement.
As of June 7, 2016, Power2Motivate received official certification from the International Organization for Standardisation (ISO) for its exceptional quality management systems. The ISO 9001:2015 implementation was successfully lead by Power2Motivate’s Customer Experience and Quality Manager, Mariam Mohd Johari. The certification reflects the company's devotion to continuously improve the solutions it delivers in an effort to unwaveringly meet client needs.
Ms Mohd Johari explained how the certification has helped streamline processes, improve the efficiency and performance of systems, and ultimately enhanced the organisation's ability to manage risk.
"We are overjoyed to be recognised by ISO, as this reflects our customer-focus and commitment to world-class quality," she said.
ISO 9001:2015 standards in line with business best practice
Acting ISO Secretary-General Kevin McKinley explained the core purpose of this particular certificate and how it has evolved. In the face of a fast-evolving business environment, the 9001:2015 ensures accredited organisations do not become complacent and are always striving to reach higher grounds.
"ISO 9001 allows organisations to adapt to a changing world," said Mr McKinley. "It enhances an organisation's ability to satisfy its customers and provides a coherent foundation for growth and sustained success."
The latest edition took effect in September 2015, shifting the focus towards how well companies perform rather than whether or not they meet specific criteria. In essence, this new version is aligned more closely to what quality management really means in the 21st century.
"Organisations need to perform in new ways, and our quality management standards need to keep up with these expectations."
"Technology is driving increased expectations from customers and businesses. Barriers to trade have dropped due to lower tariffs," said Mr McKinley.
"We are seeing a trend towards more complex global supply chains that demand integrated action. So organisations need to perform in new ways, and our quality management standards need to keep up with these expectations."
Power2Motivate adheres to quality management principles
With more than 1 million ISO 9001 certificates issued to date, it is one of the most well-known of the 21,000 standards the organisation administers. Setting out the requirements of a quality management system, the new edition of the standard looks at organisations holistically by investigating seven key principles:
-
Customer focus: Meeting and striving to exceed customer expectations.
-
Continual improvement: Never halting the quest for better quality.
-
Leadership: Defining the direction and inspiring staff to achieve set objectives.
-
Engagement of people: An organisation-wide commitment to deliver value.
-
Process approach: Aligning and implementing quality management functions as an interrelated system.
-
Evidence-based decision-making: Use of data and analytics to produce ideal results.
-
Relationship management: Nurtures and enhances ties with all stakeholders, such as suppliers and customers.
Power2Motivate's Head of Marketing Vanvisa Brown explained how the goal of Power2Motivate has always been to deliver on such principles, so the ISO 9001:2015 certificate reinvigorates and reinforces the overall quality of its operations. After staff training, systems testing and internal auditing, this achievement is an important symbol for the company, as it proves its dedication to total management excellence and exemplary customer care.
"All of our employees have been introduced to the quality framework and understand how it will be integrated into Power2Motivate's daily tasks," said Mrs Brown. "Each department has clear objectives that clarify employees' roles in the company and how each individual can contribute."
"It is our mission to always have our clients' best interests at the heart of our business. This has always been true, but by abiding by ISO 9001:2015 standards, we can demonstrate it will remain so as we venture into the future."
Power2Motivate is the 12th company to be certified by BSI Group Australia for ISO 9001:2015
